Green Hill Garden makes tools and accessories for the gardens most people actually have: a terrace, a balcony, a strip of ground behind the house. Not estates. Not allotments the size of a field.
What we choose, and why
Every product in the collection has to do one job properly. We look at the parts that fail first — the pivot on a pair of shears, the fitting on a hose, the seal on a sprayer — and if those are cheap, the product does not go in the catalogue however good it looks.
Fourteen products is a deliberate number. It is easier to stand behind fourteen things we have used than four hundred we have only listed.
Sustainability
The most sustainable thing a tool can do is last. We favour replaceable blades over sealed units, metal and wood over moulded plastic where the job allows it, and parts you can buy again rather than a product you have to buy again.
Where plastic is the right material — a composter, a self-watering reservoir — we use recycled polypropylene. Orders ship in recyclable packaging without plastic void fill.
